Ten Unique Gender Reveal Foam Party Ideas

You have probably seen those gender reveal video clips where the prospective parents reveal their baby’s gender with smoke pouring out of a motor bike or classic car?

Well, we can simulate an even more fun and exciting gender reveal with a Gender Reveal Foam Party!

1 Gender Reveal Foam Party – How it works?

We can add blue or pink colours to the foam. Imagine all your family and friends in the foam pit or play area and around the boundaries. Tell them you are now going to announce the gender of the baby in a most unusual way … and then set off the cannon with the pre-arranged colour.

Plus, here are other activities you can include to get your guests involved in the excitement prior to the foam reveal:

2 Guests to Guess

Here's our second gender reveal foam party idea. Ask guests to wear something blue or something pink as their “guess” about the gender of the baby. It will create a lot of chat after you reveal the baby’s gender with the foam blast … “I knew Mary would have a girl!” and “Oh, after six girls John finally got his little boy!”

3 Have a vote before the reveal

As guests arrive, they can choose a card which says “GIRL” or “BOY”. Before you set off the cannon ask them to hold up their VOTE. As with “Guests to guess” it will create a lot of chatter. 4 Blue/Pink Drinks

This is the same as the other voting activities but this time the guests choose a blue coloured or a pink coloured drink. Ask them not to drink it until the reveal and everyone should hold up their drink just before it.

5 Face Painter

Here’s another voting ctivity for a gender reveal foam party idea. As guests arrive invite them to allow you to paint their face with stripes indicating what gender they think the baby will be. Note, for an extra cost we can provide professional face painters.

6 The Gloves have it!

This one always creates a lot of comments. You can buy (cheaply) boxes of pink and blue disposable gloves. Ask guests to choose one glove indicating what gender they think the baby is? Okay, for the undecided, you can allow them to wear one of each. Before the foam reveal ask the guests to wave their hands in the air indicating which gender they voted for.

7 Baby charades.

Here’s a white foam activity idea to do before the gender reveal. What could be more fun and interactive than charades acted out in foam? In this “baby” version, you’ll want guests to act out baby activities, like feeding, diapering, bathing, burping etc. Make the charade prompts as detailed as you’d like to set the difficulty level even higher and make it more fun. It’s even more hilarious because it will be acted out in foam! Before the gender reveal the foam colour will be changed.


8 Gender Team Volleyball

Do this in the lead up to the reveal. Set up a volleyball net across the foam play area. Then create teams based on the gender they think the baby will be. They then play a traditional volleyball game with the added hazard of competing in foam. It’s so funny! Make appropriate teasing comments about the winning or losing teams after the foam reveal e.g. “They can win at volleyball but can’t guess the gender correctly!” Or “It’s not the loser’s day … they can’t win at volleyball or at guessing our baby’s gender.”

9 Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

We love this gender reveal foam party idea. Get everyone involved with the reveal by having guests sing “Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are” … just before the foam reveal! While the actual poem has 15 verses, here are the complete lyrics of the first verse:

Like a diamond in the sky.
